Ioannis Loumiotis, MD

Dr. Loumiotis earned his medical degree from The University of Athens Medical School in Greece. He then completed General Surgery residencies at the University of Arizona-College of Medicine as well as Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Subsequently, he completed a Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine, as well as an Advanced Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship in Complex Aortic Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr Loumiotis specializes in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and aortic surgery. He is able to perform coronary artery bypass surgery, multi-arterial bypass grafting, aortic valve repair and replacement, valve sparing root surgery, bicuspid valve repair, mitral valve repair and replacement, and trans-catheter valve therapies. He has a special interest and vast experience in treating pathologies in any part of the aorta extending from the aortic root to the aortic bifurcation.
