Dr. Gregory Parker is a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist who joined Professional Orthopaedic Associates in 2023. Dr. Parker is dedicated to getting all of his patients back to their active lifestyles, from the recreational to the professional level.
A New Jersey native, Dr. Parker received his undergraduate degree at the Pennsylvania State University before earning his medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. Dr. Parker went on to complete additional subspecialized training in orthopaedic sports medicine through a fellowship at the Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute in New Orleans, Louisiana.
During his fellowship, Dr. Parker was involved in team coverage for the New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, University of New Orleans Privateers, and many local high school sports teams.
As a sports medicine doctor, Dr. Parker specializes in surgical and nonsurgical treatments for shoulder and knee conditions, arthroscopic surgery, and shoulder and knee replacement. His expertise includes osteoarthritis, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder stabilization procedures, shoulder replacement, ACL injuries, cartilage preservation, partial and total knee replacement, shoulder and knee rehabilitation, as well as minimally invasive shoulder and knee procedures and reconstruction.
Apart from his time with patients, Dr. Parker enjoys going to the beach with his wife and three children. He also enjoys golf, running, and weight lifting.
Dr. Parker is available to see patients at our Tinton Falls, Toms River, and Freehold offices.
