Dr. Luan received his medical degree from the University of Rome in Rome, Italy. He completed his rheumatology residency at the University of Rome and his internal medicine residency at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He completed nephrology and transplantation fellowships at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York. Prior to joining the Renal and Pancreas Transplant Division in 2014, Dr. Luan served as Associate Professor and the interim medical director of the Adult Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program at the University of Michigan Transplant Center. Dr. Luan’s clinical interests include transplant immunology, post-transplant diabetes mellitus, and cytomegalovirus infection.
