Affiliations Collin Creange, MD is a member of Summit Health's General Surgery team. Dr. Creange is a general surgeon with additional training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. He specializes in all general surgery procedures, including hernia, gallbladder, anti-reflux, esophageal dysmotility, and intestinal surgery. Most of these procedures can be performed utilizing minimally invasive techniques, which means smaller incisions and faster recovery time. Dr. Creange performs primary bariatric and revisional bariatric surgery to treat obesity and its accompanying conditions. He is trained in various benign foregut surgeries, such as anti-reflux procedures, esophageal dysmotility surgery, and hiatal/paraesophageal hernia repair. Additionally, he performs abdominal wall reconstruction and has experience with robotic general surgery. He is certified to use the da Vinci, a robotic technology that allows surgeons to use an advanced set of instruments to perform robotic assisted minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Creange has wanted to be a doctor for as long as he can remember and is greatly invested in the success of his care. During medical school, he decided to pursue a career in general surgery after seeing firsthand how impactful a surgery could be on a patient’s life. As his training progressed, he chose to focus on minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. “The ability to perform complex procedures through small incisions, and have patients go home the next day, is still incredible to me,” he says adding, “I’ve also learned how life-changing bariatric surgery can be for patients suffering from diabetes, sleep apnea, joint pain, and many other comorbidities that accompany obesity.” Dr. Creange has five surgical publications related to bariatric surgery, has written three book chapters, and has presented both nationally and internationally at major surgical conferences. When not seeing patients, Dr. Creange enjoys going on walks and bike rides with his daughter and wife, golfing, and trying out new recipes.Clinical Interests Bariatric Surgery Foregut Surgery Minimally Invasive General Surgery
