    Betsy A. B. Greenleaf, DO, FACOOG
    Dr. Betsy A. B. Greenleaf, DO, FACOOG is a University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine graduate. She has extensive surgical experience above and beyond the average gynecologist and urogynecologist having trained in general surgery (which included trauma, colorectal surgery, burn medicine, plastic surgery, urology, and transplant medicine) as well as gynecology and urogynecology. Her urogynecology fellowship training was completed with one of the field’s top international researchers, inventors, and surgeons. Through this training she was exposed to techniques only a few elite physicians have access to. Her deep desire to improve the lives of women, along with her superior surgical skills set her apart as a top urogynecologists. Her professional reputation has led to her being sought after by medical societies, organizations and industry to provide lectures, teaching, and advanced training. She was the first physician in the state of New Jersey to perform the needleless Mini-arc Sling by AMS. She was one of only 70 physicians worldwide to be initially trained on this sling system and one of 90 physicians to be trained on the Elevate system. She was the first urogynecologist to have robotic privileges at Monmouth Medical Center and at Kennedy Health System. She performed the first robotic sacral colpopexy through the Kennedy Health System. She serves on the membership committee of the American Urogynecology Society and is a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology subcommittee for the development of board certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She is involved with multiple organizations and numerous research projects aimed at the advancement of female pelvic health.

    Dr. Greenleaf specializes in the evaluation and treatment of prolapse, incontinence and urinary urgency/frequency. Her added interest in pain conditions such as pelvic pain, vaginal pain, vaginismus (spasming of the vagina), interstitial cystitis, chronic cystitis, chronic vaginitis, and dyspareunia (pain with intercourse) differentiates her from many other urogynecologists.

    She has a very caring and supportive approach to patient care. With thorough testing, you will be presented with all of your care options. Dr. Greenleaf believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to healing including behavior and dietary modification, supplements, alternative therapies, holistic regimen, acupuncture, physical therapy, medications, non surgical and surgical therapy. Surgical therapies are aimed at the least invasive approach that will return you to your normal life as soon as possible.
