Affiliations Dr. Anthony G. Conte is a board-certified neurosurgeon and one of New Jersey’s leading spine surgeons, known for expertise in complex and revision spine disorders, minimally invasive techniques, and motion-preserving cervical and lumbar disc replacement. A magna cum laude graduate of Siena College’s combined BA/MD program with Albany Medical College and an inductee of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, he completed neurosurgical training at Georgetown University, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by advanced fellowship training in reconstructive spine surgery at Northwestern University. He now cares for patients in Eatontown, Toms River, and Holmdel, offering a full spectrum of surgical and non-surgical options designed to reduce pain, restore function, and improve quality of life. Dr. Conte treats complex spine disorders that require revision or reconstructive solutions; adult scoliosis and other spinal deformities; spinal tumors and vascular lesions using advanced approaches; and degenerative conditions of the neck and low back.
For appropriate candidates, he performs cervical and lumbar disc replacement to preserve spinal motion and help patients return to their everyday activities with less restriction. When fusion is indicated, he employs minimally invasive posterior, lateral, and anterior techniques to limit tissue disruption. His operating rooms are equipped with modern imaging guidance and intraoperative navigation, allowing precise planning and execution while aiming to minimize incisions, shorten recovery times, and reduce surgical risk. Equally committed to thoughtful, individualized care, Dr. Conte pairs advanced technology with a clear, patient-first approach—explaining options plainly, integrating conservative therapies when possible, and recommending surgery only when it offers a meaningful path to relief and long-term function.
