Dr. Elkwood is the founder and director of the Center for Treatment of Paralysis and Reconstructive Nerve Surgery at Jersey Shore Medical Center. He is a journal reviewer and frequent contributor to multiple scientific journals. He has appeared in major media, including CNN, Good Morning America, The Oprah Winfrey Show, 20/20, The Learning Channel, Fox News, and The Discovery Channel.     He is highly skilled in microsurgery, limb replantation and microsurgical reconstruction after cancer. Dr. Elkwood is the founder and director of the Center for Paralysis and Reconstructive Nerve Surgery at Jersey Shore Medical Center. He is an associate clinical professor of surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine, a clinical associate professor in the Department of Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and an assistant professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Seton Hall-Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
