Andrew B. Hurwich, MD, completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, and his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his medical doctorate at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He excelled in his surgical residency at Temple University Hospital, and followed his residency with a fellowship in Advanced Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Saint Francis Hospital of the Trinity Health system in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Hurwich is delighted to have moved home to New Jersey for his position in General and Bariatric Surgery with RWJBarnabas Health. Dr. Hurwich is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
