Amy Patel, MD
- OB/GYN
As a member of the team at Jersey City Medical Center, I provide the full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic care to patients, starting at adolescence and extending to menopause and beyond.
For me providing healthcare has always revolved around my hands and all that I wanted to do with them, from suturing and delivering to caring, comforting, and curing. I feel an overwhelming sense of wholeness when caring for women from the moment I hand a baby to a new mother to the moment I greet my patient just diagnosed with uterine cancer. It was this wholeness that came from being part of all stages of a woman’s life that drew me to the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology as a medical student and continues to inspire me as a physician today
In addition to caring for patients, I am committed to medical trainee education. As an educator and healthcare provider, I strive for excellence in clinical care that is evidence based and patient centered.
I am dedicated to providing comprehensive care to meet all of my patients’ obstetric and gynecologic healthcare needs, including pregnancy care, cancer screenings, treating gynecologic conditions, and wellness visits. My goal is to involve patients in their own medical decision-making.
