Affiliations Bio Dr. Mehta served as the founding medical director of the epilepsy program at Community Medical Center in Toms River, quickly developing the program in 2013, when he began, into the only National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) Accredited Epilepsy program in Ocean County. After working as a senior partner with Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery at St. Barnabas, Dr. Mehta left the traditional neurology group practice in September 2018 to pursue his dream of developing his vision for a comprehensive community based epilepsy center: Amor Mehta MD - Neurology Center for Epilepsy and Seizures - in central NJ. Dr. Mehta is improving the model of outpatient, community based comprehensive epilepsy care by empowering the patient to expect more from a practice than the conventional doctor patient visits. With such a mysterious and frightening diagnosis, Dr.Mehta hopes to make his office practice as an integral team leader for patients and their families through education and a team approach to epilepsy care. He strives to make care less disjointed and more convenient for the patient by including most epilepsy related services all within one practice. Dr. Mehta's passion is to improve the quality of life for his epilepsy patients. His goal is to develop the premier epilepsy group practice that will serve the unique needs of all New Jersey residents while advocating for patients with epilepsy by involving himself in as many public education opportunities as he can.Clinical Interests Epilepsy, Pediatric Epilepsy, Geriatric Epilepsy, Changes in Cognition, Epilepsy Surgery, Cannabinoid Medicine, Neurology, Seizure Disorders
