Alexandria Sarah Mason, MD
- OB/GYN
Bio:
I have clinical interests in minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery, family planning, and contraception. I am passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and values shared decision-making with her patients. I believe in empowering women with the knowledge and options they need to make informed choices about their reproductive health. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy both solving and constructing crossword puzzles, and have had several crossword puzzles published (including in The New York Times). I also enjoy spending my free time with my dog, Nelson, enjoying outdoor activities and adventures together.
Philosophy of Care:
I believe that developing relationships grounded in trust and respect, where every patient feels safe sharing their concerns without fear of judgment is a basic yet vital component of being a women’s healthcare provider. I approach patient care with a focus on the whole person— recognizing that physical health, emotional well-being, and trust in the healthcare relationship are deeply connected and that all of these components do impact a patient’s overall health outcomes. My clinical decisions are guided by the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices, and I am committed to ensuring that each patient fully understands their options and is actively, confidently involved in their care plan. I aim to listen more than I speak, and I hope that patients leave my office feeling that their concerns were heard and addressed thoroughly and appropriately. My ultimate goal is to partner with patients in a way that promotes both their physical well-being, personal values, and peace of mind at every stage of life.
