Alexandra Tabakin, MD is a fellowship-trained urologist and urogynecologist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Tabakin specializes in treating women with pelvic floor disorders including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, urethral diverticula, genitourinary fistula, and mesh complications. She also takes care of men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and voiding dysfunction. Her research interests include minimally-invasive therapies for overactive bladder and socioeconomic disparities in pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and genitourinary syndrome of menopause care. Dr. Tabakin has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters and regularly presents at national and international urologic conferences.

As a fellowship-trained urologist and urogynecologist, I specialize in treating both men and women with urinary tract disorders, with a particular expertise in pelvic floor disorders, such as urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. I am passionate about creating a safe and respectful environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns. I am fully committed to working with patients to develop an individualized treatment plan that best aligns with their goals and values.
