Alexander L. Juusela, MD

Dr. Alexander Juusela is a Board Eligible Physician practicing Obstetrics & Gynecology in New Jersey. Initially receiving dual degrees in biochemistry (B.S.) and Spanish (B.A.), he earned a Master's in Public Health (MPH) before achieving his Doctor of Medicine (MD). He completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, where he was awarded the American Academy of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) award for Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology.

Dr. Juusela provides the highest standard of care and is very proficient in the most recent medical and technological advances. In addition to full range Obstetrical and Gynecological care, he excels in robotic surgery, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and the management of fibroids and abnormal uterine bleeding.

Dr. Juusela is fluent in Spanish, and has a basic understanding of French-Creole and Portuguese.

He is a published author whose works include high-risk pregnancy, robotic surgery, ovarian cancer, and complications of pregnancy.

His research interests include high-risk pregnancy, diseases complicating pregnancy, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, robotic surgery, and general gynecologic conditions.
