About Activity Connection
Activity Connection at Children’s Specialized Hospital provides year-round inclusive programming for individuals ages 1-21. All activities are conducted by CSH Recreational Therapists who provide age-appropriate and safe activities that are catered to the individualized needs of participants.
In programs, we focus on safety awareness, socialization, gross & fine motor skills, cognitive & emotional skills, and more, all within a safe and fun environment! Our Recreational Therapists support participants in enhancing their skills, making new friends, and trying different recreational activities!
Our community recreation programs are available for both patients and members of the public community. Many of our programs fill up quickly, so early registration is recommended.

Summer Camps
Activity Connection offers a variety of recreational overnight and day camps, as well as therapy-based programs throughout the summer for children with special health care needs. These programs provide an opportunity to gain independence, learn new skills, and enjoy common summer camp experiences.
The RWJBH Field of Dreams
The RWJBH Field of Dreams is a private community complex for individuals with special needs and their families. Located in Toms River, this facility provides opportunities for special needs individuals of all ages and abilities to engage, explore, and socialize together through recreational activities. Since its grand opening in 2022, the Field of Dreams has built a community of over 2,000 families from all over the tr-state area, and this number keeps on growing.
