RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Full-Time Interventional Cardiologist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset

RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Interventional Cardiologist with strong interest in delivering excellent clinical care to join and supplement our busy and rapidly expanding cardiology team at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset (RWJUH – Somerset) in Somerville, New Jersey. The Cardiologist will perform most interventions at RWJUH – Somerset and complex angioplasty and structural patient care at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School New Brunswick, and outpatient services will be centered at our offices in Bridgewater and Hillsboro, New Jersey.

RWJUH – Somerset is nationally recognized for the high-quality cardiac care we provide to our community. We are one of only two hospitals in New Jersey to receive the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for our acute myocardial infarction program (care of heart attack patients), and the hospital’s Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory offers emergency and elective coronary angioplasty, cardiac catheterizations and pacemaker implantations, including the world’s smallest leadless pacemaker.

As the largest integrated health care delivery system in New Jersey, RWJBarnabas Health offers competitive compensation and a robust benefits package including health, life, disability and malpractice insurance, 401k/retirement, plus PTO and added time off for CME. Candidate will have a salary guarantee for the first 2 years with a competitive bonus package based on performance, leading to partnership in the Cardiology group.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
  • NJ licensed or eligible for licensure
  • Trained in complex coronary PCI
  • Ability to do peripheral arterial interventions
  • Option to do structural heart cases is available
  • Candidates will perform at least 75 angioplasties annually
  • 5 years clinical experience (Preferred) – New Fellows accepted as well
