RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive integrated health system, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join the Division of Cardiology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC).
This is a premier opportunity to join a growing, academically focused, multi-site cardiovascular program. The role encompasses inpatient service, advanced cardiovascular imaging, and ambulatory cardiology across NBIMC, Rahway University Hospital, and affiliated Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
Position Overview
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting advanced cardiac programs. As a key member of the Division, you will participate actively in our academic, teaching, and quality missions, including eligibility for a faculty appointment at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Provide expert inpatient care within the CCU and cardiology consult services, collaborating with world-class teams in heart failure, transplant, and cardiac surgery.
- Cardiovascular Imaging: Provide expertise in the Imaging Laboratories (NBIMC and Rahway), including Echocardiography (TTE/TEE), Stress Testing, and Coronary CT/MRI.
- Ambulatory Practice: Maintain a longitudinal outpatient practice focusing on preventive cardiology and chronic disease management across hospital clinics and community-based FQHCs.
- Academic Mission: Teach and supervise cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students. (Teaching and conference participation are incorporated into clinical time).
- Quality & Leadership: Contribute to clinical quality improvement, laboratory accreditation, and departmental performance metrics.
Candidate Requirements
- BC/BE in Cardiovascular Disease; Level II or III Echo training preferred.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Jersey.
- Commitment to clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and academic medicine.
- Open to both experienced physicians and 2026 graduating fellows.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer competitive wRVU-based compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including health/life/disability insurance, 401k/retirement, and generous PTO/CME support.
The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $415,806 –$ 660,933. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
