Part Time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview

  • Works with CSH operational leaders to optimize patient care visit templates to promote multidisciplinary care for patient population, focusing on aligning with fiscal programmatic sustainability
  • Recognizes the special healthcare needs of patients and demonstrate the ability to meet those needs in clinical practice in a patient and family centered manner. 
  • Meets expectations of department staff position as required to meet customer expectations.
  • Demonstrates understanding of diagnosis pertinent medical finding, rationale and goals of treatment, and medical interventions for patients through practice and written documentation. 
  • Based on assessment, initiates, directs and leads team to meet comprehensive needs, utilizing quality and cost effective methods. Assists in identifying and resolving ethical problems or dilemmas of individual
  • Recognizes the need for continuity and completeness of care, above and beyond needs. Communicates and incorporates relevant research findings into practice, education and consultation. 
  • Participates with other providers, in a schedule of coverage including taking evening, holiday and weekend call that will ensure uninterrupted ongoing timely patient scheduling and timely physician services for Employer.
  • Motivates staff to improve their performance, continuously, leading to improved department performance. Maximizes potential of self and team by supporting professional growth and conducting training and orientation sessions. 
  • Maintains credentials and continuing education according to professional practice standards and relevant statues and regulations. 
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services to meet customer expectations. 
  • Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with colleagues as well as external contacts. 
  • Develops and implement quality improvement projects in the practice setting. 
  • Completes pertinent clinical documentation at departmental and organizational standards.

Certifications and Licenses Required

  • RN License
  • APN License
  • NP Certification
  • CDS and DEA
  • BLS and PALS through the American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements

  • 24 hours/week 
  • 3 days per week 
  • 8 hour days
