RWJBarnabas Health and Local Elected Officials Partner for Food Distribution Event

In September at the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center in Essex County Branch Brook Park, RWJBarnabas Health and Clara Maass Medical Center joined Senator Teresa Ruiz, Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin, Assemblywoman Shanique Speight, Assemblywoman Carmen Morales and Assemblyman Michael Venezia to distribute 180 boxes filled with healthy produce, eggs, bread and more to community members.

Made possible through RWJBarnabas Health’s partnership with Common Market and supported by community health resources from the State of New Jersey, these food boxes help expand access to nutritious food across our communities. Our team of SNAP Navigators, Community Health Workers and a registered dietitian was also on-site, connecting neighbors with resources and sharing practical guidance to support healthy eating. Together, we can continue turning those resources into meaningful impact for the communities we serve and build a healthier New Jersey.
