Doll, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at RWJBarnabas Health, has been named among Becker’s Hospital Review’s Academic Medical Center COO to Know for 2025. The Becker’s list recognizes chief operating officers who lead academic medical centers and health systems across the nation and are tasked with leading operations, expanding service lines, allocating resources and more. These leaders are responsible for streamlining operations to offer excellent patient care that is aligned with the mission of advancing medicine.

In his role, Mr. Doll is responsible for the day-to-day operations of RWJBarnabas Health and has overseen the expansion and reorganization of RWJBarnabas Health’s finance division while serving as chair of a strategic planning council of executive leaders across service lines and sectors. His oversight includes the system’s Medical Group, as well as the integration of the Behavioral Health Service Line with Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. As the head of the Strategic Council, Mr. Doll guides fellow C-suite leaders in sharing best practices and priorities, ensuring that the system’s resources are appropriately dedicated.

Reporting directly to Mark E. Manigan, RWJBarnabas Health’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Doll maintains responsibility for all aspects of the system’s financial operations, including treasury, revenue cycle, supply chain and the information technology division. His focus on reinvesting cost savings back into the system has led to his development of a number of operational initiatives that have direct impact on patient care, including system-wide technological advancements, patient accessibility, and innovations.

Throughout his tenure at the system, Mr. Doll has served in various capacities within corporate finance, decision support, and revenue cycle operations. He has served on many internal and external boards and is active in several community organizations.

Mr. Doll is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics from the University of Delaware.
