West Orange, NJ — October 20, 2025 — RWJBarnabas Health has opened a new orthopedic physician practice in Bergen County, staffed by three orthopedic surgeons from RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group. The new office, located in River Edge, offers patients in northern New Jersey greater access to world-class orthopedic care close to home.

Board-certified orthopedic surgeons Raphael Longobardi, MD, FAAOS, specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery; Adam Becker, MD, with a focus on advanced joint replacement techniques; and Frank Liporace, MD, specializing on orthopedic trauma and complex joint reconstruction, are part of RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group and are now seeing patients at this new location. The surgeons are also on staff at Jersey City Medical Center and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, RWJBarnabas Health hospitals. “By establishing this practice in River Edge, we’re expanding the access Bergen County residents have to high-quality orthopedic care from experienced surgeons who are leaders in their field and who have expertise caring for professional and collegiate athletes,” said Dr. Liporace, who is Senior Vice President for the Musculoskeletal Service Line for RWJBarnabas Health’s Northern Regions. “We are committed to helping patients get back to their favorite sport or activities of daily living as soon as possible.”
