Lakewood, NJ – Recognizing local leaders and their connection to support Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus’ (MMCSC) mission and vision brought more than 100 attendees together for an evening of celebration and mishpachah. The “Thriving Together: A Night with Leaders” event held November 11th at Eagle Ridge Golf Club was an opportunity for MMCSC leadership and medical staff to speak about new services and accolades, while prominent community leaders were honored.
The event celebrated distinguished local leaders, Adam Pfeffer, Esq., of the Levin, Shea, Pfeffer and Goldman Law Firm, along with Emergency Management Coordinator and past Lakewood Chief of Police Robert Lawson and his wife Janet. The MMCSC Foundation introduced a Tree of Life that the Lawsons named perpetuating the memory and legacy of their late son, Craig Robert Lawson, which embodies the spirit of compassion and hope. The honorees were also presented with proclamations by guest legislators Senator Robert W. Singer and Lakewood Committeeman Meir Lichtenstein.
“Hosting an event like this is an opportunity for Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus to introduce a few key services, while recognizing the dedication and support from prominent leaders in the community,” notes Dr. Philip G. Passes, Chief Administrative Officer, MMC & MMCSC. “The altruism and commitment of both Adam Pfeffer and Robert and Janet Lawson to Monmouth South and the Lakewood community are representative of our mission to sustain a healthier New Jersey.”
“It’s an honor to recognize Adam Pfeffer and Robert and Janet Lawson this evening for both their philanthropic support and guidance as members of the hospital board of trustees,” explains Menashe Miller, MMCSC Foundation Board Trustee. “Thriving is something that can’t be done alone, and the dedication of these community leaders to collaborate with the hospital to support and enhance areas such as emergency services, women’s health and continuing education for staff are true examples of their unwavering commitment to improve the health of our community.”
All proceeds from the event support vital services in the MMCSC Emergency Department. For more information about the Craig Robert Lawson Tree of Life or supporting MMCSC visit: www.rwjbh.org/mmcsctreeoflife.
