Newark, NJ (July 17, 2025) – On June 25, 2025 Newark Beth Israel Medical Center held its 28th annual Resident and Fellow Graduation Ceremony at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC). It was the first time that the ceremony was held outside of hospital and the ceremony was a true reflection of the nationally recognized medical education programs at Newark Beth Israel.

The class of 76 residents and fellows have trained in a wide array of disciplines including: advanced heart failure, transplant and interventional cardiology, minimally invasive cardiothoracic and bariatric surgery, pediatric emergency medicine, clinical pharmacy, and more. In addition to the hospital-based education, residents and fellows dedicate time to participate in hospital-supported community health initiatives, health screening and education events.

Newark Beth Israel in affiliation with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School offers medical education programs across more than 20 disciplines.

Graduates will continue their medical careers across the country and around the world—including placements in Hawaii and Puerto Rico. A total of 17 graduates will remain within the RWJBarnabas Health system—10 at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and 7 at other RWJBH facilities.
