West Orange, New Jersey, December 3, 2025 – Mark E. Manigan, President and Chief Executive Officer, and George Helmy, Executive Vice President, Chief External Affairs and Policy Officer of RWJBarnabas Health, the largest, most comprehensive academic health care system in New Jersey, have been recognized as 2026 Power Players by BINJE. The BINJE Power Players List honors more than 100 CEOs, principals, managing partners and executive directors who are shaping the future of business in New Jersey.
As the state prepares to inaugurate a new governor, these 2026 honorees represent the vision, resilience, and influence that will help define what comes next. All honorees will be recognized during an event on January 13, 2026 at the Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick, with the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce serving as planner and producer.
As the state’s largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit academic health system, RWJBarnabas Health cares for more than three million patients with over five million encounters, across 700 patient care locations each year. Whether it is the 26,000 babies delivered, treatment of the most complex diseases at the state’s top-ranked cancer program, performing heart and lung transplants at the state’s only hospital that does both, or tending to the most severely burned at the state’s only burn center, the system’s 44,000 team members and 9,000 physicians work tirelessly to deliver the highest-quality care.

Under Mr. Manigan and Mr. Helmy’s leadership, RWJBarnabas Health contributes more than $7 billion to the state economy each year and harnesses its economic activity for the benefit of its communities, with a particular focus on those most disadvantaged. Since 2019, its hire local-buy local “anchor mission” has led to more than $370 million of spending with local vendors; recruited and hired over 3,400 teammates from ALICE (asset limited, income constrained) neighborhoods; funded the construction of a public elementary school; and developed career path programs for students with multiple educational institutions.
