RWJBarnabas Health’s Global Health team returned to Puerto Rico in October – this time, to San Juan – to provide medical services to locals in partnership with Direct Relief, La Fondita de Jesus and Ponce Health Sciences University. The RWJBarnabas Health volunteer team comprised of physician specialists in pulmonary medicine, otolaryngology, gynecology and podiatry, as well as residents and fellows.
Over the years, both RWJBarnabas Health and Direct Relief have worked to increase access to health care services through partnerships with community-based organizations on the island.
