April 8, 2024, Hamilton Township, NJ - The Young Professionals Group (YPGs) of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJUH Hamilton), an RWJBarnabas Health facility, recently received a generous donation of $1,000 from Eliaspresso’s HamiLatte Coffee & Tea, owned by Adam and Karen Elias.

During American Heart Month in February, HamiLatte, located at 1971 Route 33, held giveback hours every Thursday to contribute to the YPG’s $150,000 pledge towards cardiac services at the hospital. HamiLatte opened its doors with the primary mission of serving Hamilton residents and local businesses. “We were grateful for the opportunity to team up with RWJUH for such a great cause, and look forward to continuing our partnership with more awareness and more coffee!” says Karen Elias.

“Adam and his team at HamiLatte have been tremendous partners and supporters of both our group and the hospital,” says YPG Chair Jamie Sammons. “Every dollar the YPG raises is applied directly to our pledge toward cardiac services at RWJUH Hamilton. We hope to see this partnership continue to grow, and we are so grateful to the community members who stopped by HamiLatte during February.”

Last year, the YPG signed a signed a $150,000 pledge to support the growth of the cardiology program at RWJUH Hamilton. The hospital secured approval from the New Jersey Department of Health in 2022 to perform elective, or non-emergent, angioplasty procedures, enabling residents of Mercer County and central New Jersey to receive premier quality elective cardiac procedures in a comfortable setting close to home. Recently, RWJUH Hamilton kicked off construction to increase access to heart and vascular services through a new 5,500 square foot, state-of-the-art cardiac catherization laboratory scheduled to open in January 2025.

“We are so grateful for the support of our YPGs and HamiLatte owners, Adam and Karen Elias,” says Lisa Breza, Chief Administrative Officer, RWJUH Hamilton. “Thanks to the incredible generosity of civic-minded, community-focused businesses like HamiLatte, we can continue to grow our cardiac program and services to address the heart and vascular needs of the communities we serve.”

YPG Event Chair, Joshua Harry, says that the group looks forward to partnering with HamiLatte for future events. “While this may have been our first event, we are grateful for the strategic partnership we are forming to help support our local hospital and are looking forward to many more events with our new community partner.” Plans are already in the works for HamiLatte to lend support to RWJUH Hamilton for both Hospital and Nurses Week in May and Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

On May 1, HamiLatte will also be participating in the YPGs 18th Annual All in Good Taste fundraiser being held at The Boathouse at Mercer Lake. HamiLatte is sponsoring a coffee tasting at the event honoring Ka’Neda Bullock, CFP Founder and President of Master Plan Investment Group, as Young Professional of the Year. Proceeds will also benefit the cardiac program and services at RWJUH Hamilton. For tickets or sponsorship information, please visit rwjbh.org/allingoodtaste.
