Named to Newsweek’s America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2022 List

(New Brunswick, NJ) – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s (RWJUH) Ambulatory Surgical Pavilion has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2022. This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

The America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2022 list highlights the nation’s top ambulatory surgery centers based on quality of care, performance data and peer recommendations, relative to in-state competition. Centers in the 25 states with the highest number of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), were included in the study.

States included: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.

The Ambulatory Surgical Pavilion at RWJUH, located at 10 Plum Street, New Brunswick, is a state-of-the-art, 13,000-square-foot same-day surgery center. It features four operating rooms, one procedure room, a 10-bed post-anesthesia care unit as well as a 13-bed pre- and post-operative area. The multispecialty center offers general, gynecological, vascular, plastic, podiatric, and retina-vitreous surgery, as well as pain management, and endoscopy procedures.
