On one-year anniversary of the first COVID patient, Medical Center vaccinated 1,000 community members with J&J vaccine
On the one-year anniversary of admitting its first COVID-19 patient, the staff of Trinitas Regional Medical Center vaccinated 1,000 community residents against COVID with the new Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Monday, March 8 at Elizabeth High School, Thomas Dunn Sports Center, here.
Over the last year, the Medical Center treated and discharged 13,000 COVID patients. More than 300 patients have died in that time, including 10 staff members. To date, Trinitas staff have given nearly 10,000 vaccinations.
Staff members were interviews about their COVID experience over the last year, and Gary S. Horan, President of Trinitas, was on hand to congratulate the staff. It was also International Women’s Day, which made positioning Mary McTigue PhD, Vice President – Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer and Nancy DiLiegro, Ph.D., FACHE, Vice President/Clinical Operations and Physician Services/Chief Clinical Officer in front of the numerous cameras for comment even sweeter.
