Dr. Anil K. GuptaLakewood- Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus announces new Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Anil K. Gupta, MBBS, MD, MBA, FACC. Dr. Gupta is responsible for the overall clinical vision for Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC). Prior to joining MMCSC, Dr. Gupta served as Medical Director of IT at Community Medical Center, and brings a strong background in health care IT, finance and data analysis as well as population health knowledge to this position. He also has 35 years’ experience as a physician and 24 years in private practice as a board-certified cardiologist.

Dr. Gupta earned his M.B.B.S. and Medical Degree at Jiwaji University-GR Medical College, Gwalior, MP, India, where he also completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine. He completed the Cardiology Fellowship at Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi, India. In the United States, he trained in internal medicine at Lincoln Medical Center, New York, and completed the Cardiology Fellowship at FUHS-The Chicago Medical School, North Chicago. Additionally, he earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree in finance at Monmouth University, West Long Branch.

A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and member of the American College of Physician Executives, he also is the co-founder and former president of MOCAAPI (Monmouth & Ocean County Association of Physicians of Indian Origin), an organization of over 500 physicians of Indian origin in the two counties. He is an active member of the Medical Society of New Jersey (MSNJ) and the Monmouth/Ocean Medical Society (MOMS).
