Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, is offering five free educational Webinars on heart health throughout the month of February in conjunction with National Heart Month. The Webinars are provided in collaboration with Friends’ Health Connection.

Events include:

  • “A Heart to Heart on the Cardiac Impacts of COVID-19,” Tuesday, Feb. 2, 12-12:30 p.m. Ranjita Sengupta, MD, a cardiologist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, will discuss the effects of COVID-19 on the heart, cardiac conditions it could cause, why the coronavirus is a significant risk for people with heart disease and strategies to prevent COVID-19 and heart disease.   • “Women, Take Your Health to Heart!,” Friday, Feb. 5, 12-1 p.m. Rachana Kulkarni, MD, a cardiologist at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, will discuss heart disease in women, common cardiac conditions, the signs of a heart attack in women, differences between angina and anxiety symptoms, causes of heart disease, diagnostic and treatment options and prevention strategies.
