In less than 3 weeks, when the COVID-19 vaccine first shipped in December, more than 1/3 of our workforce at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children's Hospital of New Jersey was vaccinated against COVID-19. From doctors and nurses to hospital administrators, thousands of employees are getting the vaccine. We were with Atiya Jaha Rashidi, RN, Director of Diversity and Inclusion, who wasn’t quite sure at first if she would get it. We asked her why it was so important for her to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
