Trinitas Regional Medical Center has appointed Georgios Kotzias, DPF, the new Program Director of the Podiatry Residency Program.
Dr. Kotzias is not new to Trinitas. In fact, he completed his residency at Trinitas in 2017. And since then, he has been in practice at the Trinitas Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine. As a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, he has also been an active faculty member in the Podiatry program and is board-certified by both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
“I am looking forward to working closely with Dr. Kotzias and to continue to see our podiatry program grow,” says Dr. William Farrer, MD, FACP, FIDSA, Director of Medical Education at Trinitas.
New Jersey residents suffering from hard-to-heal wounds can find one of the nation's most successful wound centers right in their backyard - at The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine at Trinitas Regional Medical Center.
The Center's unique team of highly-trained physicians, nurses and foot specialists can help sufferers get their lives back. They specialize in non-healing wounds - those that have resisted healing after months and even years of traditional treatment. The vast majority of patients leave the Center completely healed in an average of just 50 days. The three main types of wounds treated at Trinitas are pressure ulcers, venous ulcers and trauma wounds.
By using well-researched, proven techniques, the Center's multi-disciplinary team provides healing and relief for patients who previously thought their wounds were irreparable or would ultimately result in amputation.
The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine at Trinitas Regional Medical Center was the first in the state to use such innovative technologies as the Apligraf living skin device. The expertise of the Center's physicians in pioneering wound closure technologies such as the Vacuum Assisted Closure (VAC) was shared recently at a number of national wound healing conferences. The Center ranks as one of the top centers in the nation, with overall heal rates 90% or higher.
The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine at Trinitas Regional Medical Center is located in Suite 104 of the Trinitas Regional Medical Center Medical Office Building, 240 Williamson Street. The Medical Office Building is part of the main Trinitas Regional Medical Center campus. The Center can be reached at 908-994-5480.
