With overeating on the rise throughout the world, and so many discrepancies as to which “diet” will provide optimal weight loss, we will share sure-fire tips to cut calories. The tips are courtesy of Ace’s January 2018 Fitness Journal:

We’re often on-the-go more than we’d like to be. Fast food is a convenient, easy option, but often an unhealthy one. Make the right choices when grabbing food on-the-go with these tips:

  1. Portion sizes from fast food restaurants may be larger than you need. Pay attention and stop eating when you feel comfortable and satiated, not when you feel full.
  2. Order small sizes of anything you’re ordering, and opt for water, seltzer, or unsweetened iced green tea. Skip the extra calories in any other beverages.
  3. Avoid any menu item with the words “double,” “triple,” “supersize,” “biggie,” etc.
  4. Be cognizant of the fact that no-fat or low-fat foods still have a decent amount of calories in them.
  5. When asked if you want French fries, a side salad, bread or fruit, opt for the side salad or fruit.
