How Do We Make Sense of Civil Unrest During COVID-19

Denise Rodgers, MD, FAAFP, Vice Chancellor for Interprofessional Programs at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), in exploring parallels between health care workers and vulnerable communities of color related to feelings of stress, anxiety and uncertainty during this pandemic. Dr. Rodgers will also discuss the relationship between the social determinants of health that contribute to increased rates of hospitalization and deaths from COVID-19 in African Americans and the recent series of peaceful protests and civil unrest related to the killing of George Floyd.
