"I went to bed and woke up at about 2am with the most severe and indescribable
pain in my chest"
Long-time Monmouth Medical Center employee Tom Piccoli has a family history
of heart disease, so he knows the importance of eating well and exercising
to stay well. However, during a snowstorm, Tom realized he was having
a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital by David, his husband. David
was amazed by the swift action of the ED staff and will never forget the
feeling of talking with the doctor that had just saved his husband’s
life. Tom is getting better through meditation, medication, exercise and
physical therapy, and he looks forward to being there for his two children
and taking more trips with his husband.
