Emotionally-Related Kidney Donation
Trish truly loves her husband and would do anything for him. When they learned Marcus needed a kidney transplant, Trish became his donor.
“After seeing how tired my husband got while playing football on the front lawn with our son, I wanted to do everything in my power to see them play a full game again, says Trish. Her decision to donate her kidney to her husband was easy. And as a result, Marcus’s life is back to normal and their family’s life is less stressful.
“I feel extremely blessed that God has chosen me to make a difference in the lives of my family and others. Because of my donation, my life is more meaningful,” says Trish.
The family’s experience with the living donation team was incredible. They feel the love and compassion they received from the team was like no other. “The staff of 5700 was simply outstanding! Everyone was loving and caring and extremely knowledgeable about the procedure. They were able to answer all the questions we had,” explains Trish.
