Let's Beat Cancer Together
As the state’s only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey together with RWJBarnabas Health is at the forefront of cancer research, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of routine, rare and complex cancers through the transformation of discoveries into clinical practice.
Renown physicians at the leading cancer program in New Jersey provide the most advanced multidisciplinary cancer care for adults and children, including complex surgical procedures, sophisticated radiation therapy techniques, innovative clinical trials, immunotherapy, and precision medicine – all close to home. Many of our clinicians are major contributors and leaders on clinical trials from the National Cancer Institute and international cooperative groups. And together with our NCI Consortium partner Princeton University, the longest NCI Consortium Cancer Center relationship in New Jersey, we are driving cutting-edge research and advancing scientific discoveries into clinical practice for an exceptional patient experience, close to home.
Our multidisciplinary team of oncologists, nurses, and oncology support professionals ensure a compassionate, comprehensive and personalized approach to diagnosing and treating all types of cancer. Patients are provided with an oncology nurse navigator to coordinate care, answer questions, provide guidance, and serve as an important member of their care team.
We are one of the only programs in the state to offer blood and marrow transplantation and CAR T-cell therapy for both adults and pediatrics and are home to the state’s only hospital-based proton therapy center. RWJBarnabas Health together with Rutgers Cancer Institute is also the highest volume pancreatic cancer surgery program in New Jersey.
