APP Fellowship Admissions

Applications are now being accepted for the 2022-2023 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship class, which is tentatively set to start in January 2022.


  • Graduation from an accredited Master’s degree program in Nursing, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) specialty
  • Possess a National Board Certification from a national certifying organization such as ANCC or AACN in Acute Care
  • Graduation from an accredited Master’s degree program for physician assistants
  • Possess a National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant certification
  • Possess current license and certificate to practice as an ACNP or PA in the State of New Jersey
  • Flexibility to work various shifts (i.e., nights, weekends, and 40-60 hours work week), ability to attend lectures and clinical rotations
  • Is eligible for or has an active DEA certificate and CDS license in the State of New Jersey
  • We currently are not accepting international candidates


  • $85,000 stipend for the 12-month program
  • Work weeks span from 40-60 hours a week
  • All APP Fellows are eligible to receive full employee benefits options, including four weeks vacation
  • The APP Fellowship also includes Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) certification
  • The APP Fellowship also includes Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) certification provided
  • Tuition Assistance for conferences
  • On-site Continuing education credits
  • Opportunity for research projects
  • Ongoing quality improvement projects

To apply for the RWJBH APP Fellowship, you must include the following with your application:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Contact information for two references
  • Copies of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Copy of board certification
  • Copy of NJ state license
  • Copy of degree (Master’s minimum)
