Millions of Americans have chronic viral hepatitis, the leading cause of liver cancer, and most do not know they are infected. Lifesaving treatments are available for chronic hepatitis B and new treatments are available that can cure hepatitis C. Do you know your Hepatitis B & C status? Getting tested is the only way to know if you are infected. You are considered at risk if:
- Hepatitis C- you were born between 1945-1965
- Hepatitis B - you were born in a country where HBV is endemic
On World Hepatitis Day, the Center for Asian Health at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center will provide information and testing.
