Play It Safe: Cardiac and Concussion Screenings for Young Athletes
Free. Cardiac screening for youth athletes, 6-18 years old. Open to the first 130 athletes. Concussion screening for youth ages 5 -18. Open to the first 80 athletes. Sponsored by Monmouth Medical Center in collaboration with Matthew J. Morahan, III, Health Assessment Center for Athletes at RWJBarnabas Health and Safe Kids NJ – Monmouth/Ocean Chapter. Safe Kids will be providing concussion simulation activities and safety information. The screenings will be held in Capelli Sports at Cedar Stars, 200 Tornillo Way, 2nd floor, Tinton Falls.
To register and schedule an appointment time, please email TeamLINK@rwjbh.org. Those interested will be emailed back with a form to fill out regarding appointment availability. Appointments will range from every 15 minutes to every half hour dependent on the screening of interest.
