    Werner Doyle is a neurosurgeon and professor of neurosurgery and at NYU Langone Medical Center and is also a member of the Institute Of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Saint Barnabas. He specializes in epilepsy surgery and collaborates with neuroscientists at NYU studying brain mechanisms and understanding the etiologic substrates of the brain that cause epilepsy.

    His interests include minimally invasive surgical approaches, computer applications to clinical neurosurgery, mathematical and computational applications to the treatment of epilepsy, and contemplative neuroscience. He has written articles and chapters on these subjects. As of 2014 Dr. Doyle has performed over 4500 epilepsy procedures. He is considered a leader in the field, being included with only a handful of international neurosurgeons having performed this volume of epilepsy surgery.
