Vascular Non-Invasive Laboratory Meets Highest Patient Safety and Quality Standards

IAC Accredited Facility Vascular TestingNewark, NJ, (Sept 21, 2022): Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Vascular Non-Invasive Laboratory located in Newark, NJ, has been granted a three-year term of accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Vascular Testing in the areas of Peripheral Arterial Testing, Extracranial Cerebrovascular Testing, and Peripheral Venous Testing.

“Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s Vascular Lab has been an accredited since 1998 and was one of the first in the state of New Jersey to receive this designation,” states Bruce Brener, MD, Director of the Vascular Center of RWJBarnabas Health; Director of Vascular Surgery, Fellowship Program. “This latest accreditation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing quality patient care in vascular testing.”

Accreditation by the IAC indicates that Newark Beth Israel Medical Center’s Vascular Non-Invasive Laboratory has undergone an intensive application and review process and is found to be in compliance with the published Standards demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care in vascular testing.

The training and experience of the technologist performing the procedure, the type of equipment used and the quality assessment metrics each facility is required to measure, all contribute to a positive patient outcome. IAC accreditation is a “seal of approval” that patients can rely on as an indicator of consistent quality care and a dedication to continuous improvement.
