Focus on Improving Patient Access and Quality of Care to Benefit Communities Throughout Northern New Jersey

RWJBH Corp Care Station Joint Venture LogoWest Orange, NJ—RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH) and Care Station Medical Group have announced a partnership focused on improving patient access and quality, while also expanding availability of RWJBH primary and specialty services.

“Care Station Medical Group adds enhanced access to urgent and primary care for northern and central New Jersey communities, including Garwood, Linden, Succasunna, Secaucus, Springfield and West Orange,” said Mark Manigan, Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, RWJBarnabas Health. “Care Station’s innovative and proactive approach to managing care empowers a patient to maintain their health and identify issues early when they are more treatable. This approach overwhelmingly aligns with RWJBarnabas Health’s vision of patient care.”

Care Station is a patient-centered, open-access primary care practice (a patient may schedule an appointment or walk in). Care Station will also assist each patient navigate the complex maze of health care. By choosing one of Care Station’s primary care providers, the patient joins a team who shares the responsibility of achieving optimal health. Care Station has 28 providers who see 160,000 patient encounters annually.

Care Station services include family medical care, preventative health care, physical examinations and immunizations; management and treatment of chronic medical conditions, including diabetes screening and care, hypertension and hyperlipidemia; x-ray, lab services, diagnostic testing, and ultrasound; dermatology, gastroenterology, podiatry, gynecology and sport medicine; and nutrition.
