Feb 14, 2020 Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Launches RWJ Find Your Way Navigation App for Visitor Satisfaction

New Brunswick, NJ, February 14, 2020 – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick (RWJUH) announced today that it has launched the RWJ Find Your Way GPS Navigation App to enhance the patient and visitor experience on its academic medical campus.

Find Your Way App

RWJ Find Your Way, the hospital brand name for version 3 of Connexient Medinav™, is an indoor GPS app that provides “blue-dot” navigation with 3D maps and voice prompts, similar to the experience of Google Maps and Waze in the outdoors. The app enhances the patient and visitor experience by making it easy to navigate the hospital with a smartphone, reducing the stress and anxiety of getting lost or being late for an appointment.

Version 3.0 MediNav offers the following features:

  • Enhanced indoor navigation user experience, with audio output and distance countdown
  • Incorporation of visual landmarks in the routes
  • Multi-campus architecture
  • “Meet Me” location sharing and “Friend Finder” inside the hospital
  • Automatic “Parking Planner” and “Find My Car" features

The app is available for both Apple and Android devices, in both English and Spanish. Once downloaded, the app seamlessly adapts to the language preferences set by the phone’s user.

“Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital was one of our earliest customers and one of the first hospitals in the world to offer true “blue dot” indoor navigation, dating back to 2015. We are excited that RWJUH is upgrading to our Version 3.0, to take advantage of the newest features.” said Mark Green, Connexient CEO and Co-Founder.

“Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience. That begins with convenient and timely access to our physicians and high quality clinical programs,” said RWJUH President and Chief Executive Officer John J. Gantner. “We are excited to offer this new technology to our patients and visitors to help make their experience the best that it can be.”
