Dec 29, 2020 Free Webinars on COVID-19 Vaccine Offered on Jan. 7 in English and Spanish

Health care workers across New Jersey recently began receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and the vaccine will soon become available to community members, including essential workers and individuals over 75 years old.

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset’s Community Health Department will offer free Webinars in English and Spanish on Thursday, Jan. 7 to provide an overview of how the vaccine works, its effectiveness, the benefits of vaccinations and possible side effects. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions from the hospital’s medical experts.

The first Webinar, “Stick It To COVID-19: The Benefits of Vaccination,” will be held from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. with infectious disease specialist Ronald Nahass, MD, the hospital’s epidemiologist. To register, visit https://tinyurl.com/ybllmxwd.

The second Webinar, “La Vacuna de COVID-19: Que Se Necesitan Saber,” will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with Marc Milano, MD, medical director, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset’s Emergency Department; and Maria Corella, RN, a registered nurse in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset’s Emergency Department.
