Feb 28, 2018 Michellene Davis Named to Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare

Davis Recognized for Her Leadership, Influence, and Contributions to New Jersey

West Orange, NJ, February 28, 2018 – Michellene Davis, Esq., Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH), was recently named one of the Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare. The biennial recognition honors leading minority healthcare executives across the country who are influencing policy and care delivery models.

In her role at RWJBarnabas Health, Ms. Davis helps direct the strategic policy decisions of the system and strengthens the system’s position with state and federal elected officials and agencies. Spearheaded by Ms. Davis, the system is prioritizing its mission to eliminate disparities, enhance equity and create social and physical environments that promote good health for our communities. In 2017, she created and drives the Social Impact and Community Investment Department (SICI), which effects change using a collective impact model, through which the system collaborates with traditional and non-traditional partners aimed at impacting the individual and the community.

Ms. Davis also oversees the areas of policy development and Government Affairs, External Affairs, Healthy Living and Employee Wellness and Engagement, and Global Health.  Additionally, she created Women’s Leadership Alliance and the Corporate Institute for Internship

Ms. Davis is the first woman and first person of color to serve as an Executive Vice President in RWJBarnabas Health’s history.
