Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade A Spring 2018Belleville, NJ The Leapfrog Group, a Washington D.C-based organization aiming to improve health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers, has announced the Spring 2018 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades and awarded Clara Maass Medical Center the elite designation of ‘A’ for its continued achievement in patient safety. Clara Maass also earned its ninth ‘A’ in the Fall 2017.

Developed under the guidance of a Blue Ribbon National Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. It is calculated by top patient safety experts, peer reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
