12-year-old Survived Life-threatening Blood Clot Likely Related To Covid-19, Doctors Say

A 12-year-old Newark girl survived a life-threatening blood clot this week that her doctors said was likely related to COVID-19, the most severe in a growing number of unusual coronavirus cases in children.

Jissel Rosario left Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey on Tuesday with balloons and a heart-shaped pillow after fighting for her life when a blood clot traveled from her foot all the way up to the vessel just below the heart. Read More.
