Dorothy J Emergency Services - Dorothy's Story

“Every person was just fabulous! I was able to keep positive because they were so great. They treated me like a priority and the care was exceptional. The staff really deserves to be recognized.”

Grateful patient Dorothy Jones of Toms River credits her team of dedicated nurses and aides with providing the lifesaving care she needed.

Dorothy was a patient in the Emergency Department at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus in January after she slipped and broke her wrist. She was very impressed with the care and her hand surgeon remarked at how well her bone was set at the hospital.

Then, in February, Dorothy was back with severe leg pain. Clots were discovered in her leg and lungs and she was admitted for four days while the team tried to dissolve them. Dorothy credits the hospital with saving her life. She could not say enough about the staff.
