Let's Beat Cancer Together
You don't fight against cancer one on one, you fight it as a team.
The Cancer Center at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, together with the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, brings a world class team of researchers and specialists to fight alongside you, providing close-to-home access to the latest treatments and clinical trials.
Through our partnership with the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey – the state’s only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and universally recognized for its scientific leadership – we can offer patients new hope with the latest solutions in the fight against cancer.
CyberKnife® – Only One To Five Treatments
The CyberKnife® Robotic Radiosurgery System is the world’s first and only robotic radiosurgery system designed to treat tumors throughout the body in one to five treatments. CyberKnife treats tumors with laser-like precision and is unmatched by other radiation therapy and radiosurgery systems. Unlike traditional radiosurgery, CyberKnife® tracks the tumor in real time with continual image guidance, adjusting for breathing and correction for movement. As a result, the CyberKnife® precisely delivers the radiation to the tumor, sparing healthy tissue. CyberKnife® is a safe, non-surgical treatment of both cancerous and non-cancerous tumors anywhere in the body, including the prostate, lung, brain, spine, liver, pancreas and kidney.
Our staff will work with your insurance providers to have the treatment covered if it is determined that you are an eligible candidate for treatment.
