Screening is generally recommended starting at age 40. Talk with your provider if you have a family history or other risk factors that may call for earlier or more frequent screening.
No. Screening mammograms don’t require a physician prescription or referral. You can schedule directly online.
Our breast imaging centers accept most insurance plans. Our team will confirm your coverage when you schedule your appointment.
Preparing for a mammogram is simple. On the day of your exam, avoid wearing deodorant, antiperspirant, lotion, powder, or perfume on your underarms or breasts, as these products can interfere with the images. Consider wearing a two-piece outfit, since you will need to undress from the waist up for the exam. Be sure to inform your technologist if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have breast implants, or have noticed any recent breast changes or concerns.
